Itinerary
- Pukará Lithic Museum, with pre-Inca archaeological collections that showcase the life of ancient highland cultures.
- Abra La Raya (4,335 m), the highest point of the route, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and the Andean plateau.
- Raqchi, one of the most important archaeological sites in southern Peru, home to the majestic Temple of Wiracocha, a 14-meter-high building made of stone and adobe. Raqchi also features circular storehouses (colcas), ceremonial areas, priestly residences, and ritual baths, reflecting the sophisticated Inca planning and architecture.
- Church of San Pedro Apóstol in Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” Its unassuming façade contrasts with a spectacular interior, filled with Baroque murals, gilded altarpieces, and a Mudéjar-style coffered ceiling. Highlights include the mural of the “Road to Heaven and Hell”, as well as works by Luis de Riaño and the Cusco School, making Andahuaylillas an essential stop on the Andean Corridor.
Our excursion combines history, art, living traditions, and spectacular Andean landscapes, offering a complete, personalized, and enriching cultural experience, ideal for travelers who want to make the most of each stop and discover the richness of southern Peru at their own pace.
