The beautiful city of Cusco was built on the foundations of the Inca, that makes it a city with a hybrid character, full of fascination and mystery. Peru is dotted with Inca sites, but none as famous as the “lost city” of Machu Picchu, considered the seventh wonder of the modern world.

But in addition, this area of Peru (Cusco Region) has also been blessed with natural gifts: a part of the cloud forest Amazon jungle falls within the limits of Cusco, and visitors can walk not only through the Inca past of this city, but also through part of the cloud forest, the Andes mountains and deeply valleys full of traditions and an admirable nature.

It is considered by many to be the most spectacular urban creation of the Inca Empire and one of the most important heritage sites in the world. It sits on top of a mountain, 8,000 feet (2,430 meters) in the tropical forest, offering spectacular scenery with significant endemic biodiversity of flora and fauna

Cusco and Machu Picchu are located in the same region (Cusco region) and are like two sides of the same coin.

Giardino was recommended by a friend, and even though I had booked some hotels on my own, they managed to work around it, and provide us a wonderful experience from Paracas, Nazca, Ica, Huacachina to Puno. The guide Luis Angel was very knowledgeable, answered every question, and went over and beyond his duties to make the tour an unforgettable time in Perú.

We had a fun and educational private Colca Valley tour and road trips with Ramiro (guide) and Herbert (driver) from Giardino Tours. They picked us up from the Arequipa airport, took us to our accommodations at Colca Lodge, took us on a beautiful hike to the isolated Chimpa Fortress... We are glad the agency we engaged to plan our Peru adventure chose Giardino Tours for this part of the trip!
