Itinerary:
We pick you up from your hotel, and our first stop is the enigmatic Temple of Fertility in Chucuito, a pre-Hispanic ceremonial site with a rectangular layout and finely crafted solid stone walls. Inside, you will find mushroom-shaped monoliths symbolically associated with fertility and ancient Andean rituals. This sacred space connects us with the worldview of the native cultures and their profound beliefs about life and abundance.
The journey continues to Molloco, where impressive chullpas rise against the highland landscape. These ancient stone funerary towers reflect the architectural and cultural fusion between the Incas and the Lupaca culture. Silent and majestic, these structures speak of lineage, power, and deep spiritual traditions that once shaped the Andean world.
Further south, we stop to discover the ancestral Waru Waru, an extraordinary agricultural technique developed in the Andean highlands. These elevated fields, surrounded by water channels, create a microclimate that protects crops from frost, demonstrating the advanced hydraulic and agricultural knowledge of pre-Hispanic civilizations.
Finally, we arrive at Aramu Muru, considered one of the most mystical and energetic places in the region. Carved into a massive rock formation is a mysterious stone “door” that, according to local legend, is believed to be a dimensional portal.
The surrounding landscape — with its enormous, uniquely shaped rock formations — creates a truly special atmosphere that invites contemplation and wonder
The Aymara Route is more than just a sightseeing tour; it is an experience that awakens the senses and connects you with the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Peruvian highlands.
The tour concludes in the late afternoon, and after an enriching day, we return you to your hotel.
Private Tour Service:
If you take the Aymara Route as a private tour, the itinerary includes a visit to the town of Juli with its churches and the Pomata Beach.
Juli: Known as the Little Rome of the Americas due to its remarkable number of colonial churches. In the 16th century, it was an important center of Dominican evangelization, leaving behind magnificent temples as a cultural legacy.
