The Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco region, is composed of numerous rivers that descend by gorges and small valleys. The Valley has numerous archaeological monuments, indigenous markets and villages. During the Inca’s time was very appreciated due to its special geographical and climatic qualities.  As a result; the valley was one of the main points of agricultural production of the empire for the richness of its lands.

Enjoy with this Tour an interesting circuit full of culture and walkings, touring an area full of Andean variety.

On this full-day tour from Cusco, you will first stop at the Mirador Taray viewpoint for spectacular views over the Andes and the Sacred Valley. Continue to Pisac town, where there is a well-known market and visit the archaeological site and see terraced fields, Incan cemeteries and royal buildings. After these visits we will drive to Urubamba and enjoy time and a buffet lunch at a restaurant (No Included).

Then, we will keep driving to to Ollantaytambo town. This  place was built to guard the entrance to Machu Picchu citadel and protect the Inca people from possible attacks.

A visit to the forstress will impresse you with the view and the incredible stone-work of the incas.  To close the tour we will visit the quaint village of Chinchero on the drive back to Cusco. This town is a traditional place that where local residents dye alpaca wool using natural, locally sourced plant dyes until today.

Our Group Tour to Sacred valley will be in Ollantaytambo town approx. 16:30 PM. Conection to Train to Machu Picchu (Aguas calientes town) won’t be a problem (in a Group Tour you won’t be able to visit Chincheros town).

Please be aware that the train service to MachuPicchu from Ollantaytambo station requiere that you must be at train station 45 minutes before train departure. In this case please book your train tickets to Machupicchu after 18:00hrs.

    We had a fun and educational private Colca Valley tour and road trips with Ramiro (guide) and Herbert (driver) from Giardino Tours. They picked us up from the Arequipa airport, took us to our accommodations at Colca Lodge, took us on a beautiful hike to the isolated Chimpa Fortress...     We went on a two-day tour with Luis and Julio and it was amazing! Luis speaks very good English and knows a lot about the history and culture of is own country. At every question, he could easily give you a good answer and explainating. Julio was a very good driver. We felt very safe and he stopt at the best spots for pictures. This was one of the best trips during our stay in Peru. We highly recommend this tour guide!
