This is an exciting opportunity to have a rafting experience in the Chili Valley, 45 minutes from Arequipa City, between the Virgin of Chapi Sanctuary and Acequia Alta. With a medium difficulty rating and Class III and IV rapids, you are guaranteed a splashing good time.

  • Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the start point at Virgin de Chapi Sanctuary.
  • All equipment will be provided and you will receive a safety briefing and instructions from your experienced guide.
  • The section to be done is about 6 km long (Approx. 1:45 hrs on the water) using rafts with a capacity for 6 people.
  • You’ll finish the run in the Chilina district (Acequia Alta).

After the trip, you can be dropped off at your hotel or to your travel agency.

  • Equipment (raft, life jackets, paddles, helmets, spray jackets etc).
  • Transport.
  • Professional guide.
  • Snacks (Chocolate).
  • Biosecurity protocol.
  • Whatever goes in the raft will get wet but you can leave things in the van while you are on the water!
  • Bring a towel and a change of clothes, and for rafting wear swimming gear, board shorts, and sandals.
  • Bring sunscreen for your face and arms.

    Giardino was recommended by a friend, and even though I had booked some hotels on my own, they managed to work around it, and provide us a wonderful experience from Paracas, Nazca, Ica, Huacachina to Puno. The guide Luis Angel was very knowledgeable, answered every question, and went over and beyond his duties to make the tour an unforgettable time in Perú.

    We had a fun and educational private Colca Valley tour and road trips with Ramiro (guide) and Herbert (driver) from Giardino Tours. They picked us up from the Arequipa airport, took us to our accommodations at Colca Lodge, took us on a beautiful hike to the isolated Chimpa Fortress...     We went on a two-day tour with Luis and Julio and it was amazing! Luis speaks very good English and knows a lot about the history and culture of is own country. At every question, he could easily give you a good answer and explainating. Julio was a very good driver. We felt very safe and he stopt at the best spots for pictures. This was one of the best trips during our stay in Peru. We highly recommend this tour guide!
