Choqolaqa, it is a natural spectacle that without doubt, will leave you speechless!

This place is located in the Province of Caylloma en Arequipa city and has an altitude of 4,800mts. The area is a set of gigantic ashlar rock formations, which were carved by the erosion of the winds and rains, achieving whimsical figures and sculptures.
Choqolaca is also considered a spiritual center for local people, for this reason different ancestral rituals take place here, therefore it should be visited with great care and respect during the excursion.

Our Full Day tour to Choqolaqa starts in the area of the  Colca Valley because is much shorter in hours of driving, then from Arequipa city; making this destination the perfect  excursion  for all those visitors who want to take an extra day to their private tour to Colca canyon. 
In this excursion to Choqolaqa you will enjoy traditional towns on the route, unique andean nature and have amazing pictures spots; either towards to this unforgettable “Other planet” destination as well as walking around Choqolaqa.

    We had a fun and educational private Colca Valley tour and road trips with Ramiro (guide) and Herbert (driver) from Giardino Tours. They picked us up from the Arequipa airport, took us to our accommodations at Colca Lodge, took us on a beautiful hike to the isolated Chimpa Fortress...     We went on a two-day tour with Luis and Julio and it was amazing! Luis speaks very good English and knows a lot about the history and culture of is own country. At every question, he could easily give you a good answer and explainating. Julio was a very good driver. We felt very safe and he stopt at the best spots for pictures. This was one of the best trips during our stay in Peru. We highly recommend this tour guide!
